Monday, 1910-08-08. From Elizabeth Stuit to Ena Stuit.

Woldendorp, August 8, 1910.

Dear sister,

You haven’t had a letter from me in a long time. You’ll probably be a little bit angry I think, but I have been appallingly busy, lifting potatoes, planting and what all. Father’s condition is about the same. I would sooner call him better than worse. He can eat quite a bit these days. I went to church last evening and went last Sunday too. It looks as if it is going to be a warm day today, and I have to work in the garden all day and I have an infected finger, dear sister. I can do the work but it’s such a nuisance. How is Mrs. Oosterbeek? Do you go to Roelle on Thursdays? That blouse of yours looks nice on you I’m sure. Well, I am very busy today and that’s why I had better finish.

Greetings from all of us, your loving sister, Elizabeth Stuit.
