Friday, 1908-11-06. From Elizabeth Stuit to brother and sister.

Woldendorp, November 6, 1908.

Dear brother and sister,

I am sitting down to send you the sad news that Mother has died.

It still came very unexpectedly. We had left at 8.30 and at 10 o’clock mother was dead. It is a very heavy blow for all of us, but she has been delivered from her suffering. She had been up for a while and had some supper with us and at 8 o’clock she had some coffee, and then at 10 o’clock the blood came up and everything was finished.

Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock the funeral will take place. I can’t write anymore. My eyes are burning and my head is spinning. I greet all of you.

Elizabeth Stuit.
