It’s just a sad state of affairs in Canada these days. We are in the midst of a recession, and there is so much division in many churches that some people want to exit to form even better churches. This must be done with seriousness. But have you noticed that we can hardly laugh now? We are so busy debating these days that we cannot talk light-heartedly. What do you want…at coffee visits after church time, people talk about unemployment, about division, about the ozone layer, you name it. Now those are not exactly discussions where a funny remark is appreciated.
