Woldendorp, December 22.
Beloved brother and sister,
We hereby give you notice that Rientje has died suddenly. At 11.30 she was fully conscious, and at 12 o’clock everything was over. Gently, oh so gently, the Lord took her to Himself. She had the same illness as mother, but it all went a lot faster.
I’m home again too. I had terrible pain in one leg, but it’s getting better. Rientje will stay over Christmas and will be buried on Monday. Oh dear sister, when I think that the third one has gone without you having seen one of them again. But it has pleased the Lord to take her away and His will be done.
One of you will surely come, I hope.
Heartfelt greetings from all of us.
Elizabet.
