Subscribing to Middledom will get you a weekly email highlighting a new blog post, a (freshly reminted) story, a memoir chapter or a bit of history (or a few of the above). The email will allow me to add comments to highlights and offer some personal reflections to guide you on your hitchhiker’s journey.

By curating these weekly offerings, I can make them more interesting, put them into context and bring newcomers into the fold. And, since the content on this website is already so overwhelming (even for me), these measured doses will keep you from overdosing and fatigue. That’s not to say you can’t just nose around and read what you want anytime.

But the weekly focus will also foster a sense of community among those who gather round something particular in our past. There will be room for comments, feedback and stories on each page, as well as on Facebook and WhatsApp feeds.

I hope that these regular flashbacks will be a welcome antidote to polarizing social media feeds and that they will add to the appreciation of our shared past.
