During our visit to my 97 year old aunt Truus yesterday we heard a story that was too good not to remember. So I put it down in writing, much more quickly than most of my posts, so that I can share it with you here. It takes place in 1945 when Truus was still only 16, her little sister Hennie was very sick and her 49 year old father was away.
