This story is set in the century old Vennekerk in Winschoten that has been part of the de Jong/van der Laan family life since 1935, culminating in a family reunion worship service there in 2023 (more about that next week).

Herman de Jong remembers his profession of faith, forty years before in this very church building, and the Good Friday experience that set the stage for a lifetime of worship playing the organ. His son, Henry, carries this story forward into the family’s future far from home.
